For the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS), ethics training is essential to responsible practice in engineering and geoscience. To deliver that training effectively across its membership, APEGS needed one vendor to create video-based courses, host them on a platform, and offer end-user technical support to course takers. The courses also needed to be offered free of charge to all members. With more than 12,000 members to serve, APEGS needed a platform that could make the program easy to access, manage, and sustain year after year.
APEGS turned to Vocalmeet for its Learning Management System (LMS). Vocalmeet worked hand-in-hand with APEGS to develop its courses and host its annual ethics modules, ensuring that this critical training was readily available to APEGS members free of charge. Vocalmeet’s services included a dedicated project manager, a course development team, and technical support.
A key part of the partnership was the development of ethics courses. Vocalmeet advised APEGS on how to present information for peak clarity and introduced new methods for data presentation. Vocalmeet also offered APEGS a range of development options, ensuring that the chosen plan aligned with both budget and specific needs.
With the scalability and ease of use of the LMS, APEGS can continuously offer this essential course content to its members each year. Members continue to be satisfied with the quality of the course material and overall experience offered by the Vocalmeet team.
Vocalmeet handled the technical and administrative aspects of developing and delivering the ethics training program. This allowed APEGS to focus on its core mission of upholding ethical standards within the engineering and geoscience community. The ethics courses increased engagement among APEGS members and helped the association deliver mandatory training each year.
APEGS wanted one vendor to create video-based courses, host them on a platform, and offer end-user technical support to course takers while making mandatory ethics training readily available to more than 12,000 members.
