impact.com is the world’s leading partnership management platform whose goal is to transform the way businesses manage and optimize partnerships—including traditional rewards affiliates, influencers, commerce content publishers, and more.
During a period of hypergrowth, impact.com’s Partnerships Experience Academy (PXA) faced several challenges:
- Their existing LMS couldn’t scale with the academy’s rapid growth or evolving vision.
- They needed a platform capable of supporting multiple learner audiences (prospects, customers, and employees) through one unified system.
- The team required specific LMS capabilities, including: content gating flexibility, intuitive user experience (UX), customization for diverse audiences, native integrations (especially with Salesforce), advanced reporting, permission controls for different admin types
The impact.com team commissioned a request for proposal (RFP) to determine which LMS they would choose, and leaned on insights from the Customer Education Slack channel, as well as an advisor, to create a list of top contenders.
After demos, evaluations, and scoring, Intellum emerged as the winner and was quickly implemented. Intellum enabled impact.com to:
- Gate, ungate, or partially gate content, allowing the same material to serve different audiences (internal and external) and consolidate to one education brand for both internal and external education
- Use Insights reporting to help partners and managers track learner progress and certification completion
More than 12,000 learners have come to PXA since its launch on Intellum in 2021—including 1,000 impact.com employees. Those learners have completed more than 3,500 certifications, and PXA’s average course NPS reports a strong 55. The team has grown from one team member to 14 employees so they can continue to grow at their current pace. They are now leveraging Intellum’s reputation-based gamification features such as credentials, reputation points, redeemable “gold,” and challenges.
impact.com needed a scalable, flexible learning platform capable of supporting multiple audiences and driving business growth through education after their existing LMS could no longer meet the expanding needs of their Partnerships Experience Academy.
