Top Podcasts and Posts of 2025 - Talented Learning Greatest Hits

As 2025 draws to a close, our team is taking stock of how well our content is serving the enterprise learning community. Why? Over the past year, we’ve published more than 50 informative articles and podcasts. That’s more than any other year in our history. But we want to know — did we hit the mark?

Your content choices are important because they’re a strong indicator of your interests. And as we prepare for 2026, we want to focus on topics that matter most to you. So today, let’s briefly look back at our top posts and podcasts from 2025.

But first, a disclaimer. By far, our most popular posts are these perennial favorites:

I author those articles. However, Talented Learning content isn’t about me. It’s about the people, practices, and platforms that define modern enterprise learning. Our goal is to inform and empower LMS buyers before, during, and after the contract is signed. And with a growing list of expert guests and contributors, my point of view is only one of many you’ll find here. That is very much by design.

So, we hope this “greatest hits” list is useful as you determine next-steps in your organization’s learning strategy. And stay tuned for more forward-thinking guidance from us in 2026!

PODCASTS

Right from the start in 2018, our flagship podcast, “The Talented Learning Show,” gained traction. Now, more than 100 episodes later, it’s more popular than ever. I think that’s because each 30-minute session is an in-depth interview with a practitioner or innovator who is tackling tough enterprise learning challenges.

On the heels of that success, we added 10-minute “Customer Ed Nuggets” to our podcast line-up in 2018. And those conversations have found their own audience among customer education professionals.

This year, we produced 26 podcasts. And you showed the deepest interest in these 5 sessions…

1.  The Rise of AI-Native Learning Platforms – with Josh Bersin

If you think AI-native learning platforms are just fancy LMS add-ons, think again. As I discussed with the learning industry’s foremost analyst, Josh Bersin, L&D teams are rapidly rewriting the old “publish and consume” model. Next-generation solutions are based on deeply integrated AI tools that proactively pinpoint skill gaps and deliver hyper-personalized content, coaching, and support in real time. To illustrate how this works, we talk about how organizations are creating value with Sana and other leading-edge AI-native learning solutions.

2.  Can Microlearning Drive Professional Development? – with Dusty Burton

Microlearning sounds obvious – short, sweet content. But it’s much more than that. As Colorado’s Aurora Public Schools has found, successful outcomes depend on thoughtful instructional strategies that make short-form content highly relevant and accessible. Aurora’s Ed Tech Coordinator, Dusty Burton, explains how his team has dramatically improved teacher engagement in professional development programs by offering recertification and salary-advancement incentives. He also shares ideas for scaling microlearning programs over time.

3.  How AI and Video Elevate Skill Verification – with Josh Squires

Quizzes have long been used in customer and partner education. But now, organizations are verifying partner skills in a much more effective, efficient way. With AI-based tools that analyze video demos companies are assessing sales readiness faster and with greater confidence. As I discuss with Josh Squires (formerly of Bongo Learn) on this Customer Ed Nuggets podcast, this accelerates ramp-up time, ensures consistent messaging, elevates performance at scale, and improves go-to-market results.

4.  Lessons From a Successful Course Company – with Dennis DiNoia

Growing an online course company isn’t accidental — it takes vision, experimentation, and smart execution. That’s the primary takeaway from this discussion with Dennis DiNoia of Mr. D Math. Dennis explains how he built a thriving tutoring business by fostering community relationships, choosing the right LMS as a backbone, and staying adaptable as tools and markets evolve. His story highlights the power of persistence, platform choice, and deep audience engagement as keys to success.

5.  Managing Customer Education as a Product – with Melissa Kruminas

Why should you treat customer training like a product? As Melissa Kruminas, Senior Director of Learning at Docebo says, whether free or paid, customer training can be a powerful growth engine. How does this work? We discuss how intentional design, cross-functional governance, and clear metrics strengthen product adoption, reduce support costs, and expand revenue streams.

ARTICLES

When we founded Talented Learning in 2014, blogging was our original form of outreach. Today, our editorial commitment remains as strong as ever. Over the past year, we stepped up our publishing frequency and invited more guest authors to contribute advice and insights.

These are their most popular posts…

1.  LMS Cybersecurity: 3 Serious Risks and How to Avoid Them

As data breaches grow costlier and more frequent, cybersecurity has become a critical issue for systems of all types, including learning platforms. Threats like phishing, malware, and data theft often expose sensitive organizational and learner data. To avoid these problems and more, Zachary Amos of ReHack Magazine says learning leaders should insist on data encryption, strong authentication, access controls, regular security audits, and other practices.

2.  AI in L&D: How to Chart a Course for Transformation

AI is top-of-mind for everyone in enterprise learning these days. But to truly transform learning, organizations must move beyond simple efficiency gains. So, the operative question to ask is, “How do we get there from here?”  Anderson Campbell of Intellum shares a 6-step approach, along with examples that illustrate how learning teams are putting this kind of strategic AI roadmap into practice.

3. Internal or External Training: Where Should Your Company Invest?

Internal vs. external training is not an either/or choice — both fuel business performance. While internal L&D supports employee onboarding, compliance, upskilling, and career growth, external training drives product adoption, certification, customer success, and business revenue. As Ann Torry of DigitalChalk says, the goal isn’t about picking one over the other. It’s about balancing both to advance strategic goals. The smartest leaders focus on identifying core content, and then adapt and repurpose it, along with using flexible learning systems that efficiently support multiple audiences.

4. How to Succeed at LMS Data Migration

Implementing a learning system is complicated. Yet, organizations rarely pay enough attention to one of the most challenging aspects of any LMS implementation — data migration. When done right, moving data from one learning system to another is much more than just a technical task. It’s a strategic endeavor that protects records and ensures the success of a new solution. But what does it take to minimize risk? This guide by learning tech consultant, Petra Mayer, maps the process step-by-step, including security, compliance, documentation, and how to avoid common pitfalls.

5. Automating Personalization in Customer Education

AI-powered personalization is transforming customer education. How? As LearnUpon CTO Des Anderson explains, automation helps programs move beyond one-size-fits-all training, with tailored experiences that reduce support load while driving customer engagement, adoption, and retention. When everyone receives the right content at the right time throughout the relationship, customer education becomes much more relevant and impactful.
