After acquiring Xilinx in 2022, AMD needed a training solution to consolidate and offer on-demand, global training for their authorized partners. The goal was to create a user-friendly, branded portal that included e-learning with e-commerce capabilities, supporting field sales teams and their partners.
Using NetExam LMS+, AMD built a robust extended enterprise training platform with a blend of instructor-led and virtual learning. This platform simplified training purchases through vouchers and credits, saving up to 65% for customers and ensuring training content remained up-to-date. The platform now supports 44 e-learning courses with integrated virtual labs.
The results were remarkable: training engagement doubled, with Trained Student Days (TSD) increasing from 36,000 in 2019 to 68,000 in 2023. AMD saved 40 administrative days per year by automating manual processes and increased training efficiency by 70%, despite reduced budgets. The switch to on-demand learning during the pandemic also led to a 20-point increase in training experience NPS.
The business challenge was to create a user-friendly, branded training portal that consolidated AMD's global training materials, supported on-demand e-learning with e-commerce capabilities, and streamlined training for field sales teams and authorized partners.
